Carilion Clinic headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia has an opportunity available for a Wound Care Specialist to join a busy practice with eight Physicians. Opportunity available due to the expansion of services and the pending retirement of a long term physician. The Wound Care Center is located at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital and it includes 2 Hyperbaric Chambers. Enjoy working in a well established practice with exceptional long term nursing and support staff that is dedicated to taking care of the needs of the Wound Care Patient. Position includes working in satellite clinics within one hour of Roanoke approximately 1 day a week. Hours are Monday thru Friday with no call. Faculty Appointment to the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine available. Interest in research with Fralin Biomedical Research Institute is encouraged and supported.
Qualified candidates are BE/BC in either Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery. Certification in Wound Care Management is preferred with experience and comprehensive knowledge working outpatient, inpatient and in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
