The Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is currently seeking applications for a full-time abdominal transplant surgeon to join our Division of Transplant Surgery in our growing institution. Level of appointment will be based upon qualifications and experience. Candidates must be ASTS fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery and meet UNOS criteria for a kidney, liver and pancreas transplant surgeon. A strong commitment to patient care, resident education, clinical medicine, and research is desired. Candidates with dialysis access, multiorgan procurement, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, and multiorgan transplantation are preferred.
The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a tertiary care facility that serves central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. We are a part of a non-profit health organization that provides high-level patient services. Our division is part of a state-of-the-art, 590-bed medical center, a Children’s Hospital, Cancer Center, research facilities and outpatient office facilities. The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is the only Level I Trauma Center in south central Pennsylvania accredited for both adult and pediatric patients.
