Unit Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) at Cooper University Health care is a dynamic clinical department that provides high quality patient-centric emergency care to our community. As part of CUES (Center for Emergent and Urgent Services) for Cooper, we have an expansive clinical, educational, and research-based focus. Our education team trains 40 EM residents, 2 EMS fellows, one education fellow and one ultrasound fellow in addition to teaching a highly rated required 4th year clerkship for every CMSRU student. The service lines have expanded to include: 3 urgent care sites, pediatric EM, EMS, toxicology, ultrasound, collaboration with addiction medicine/pain management, high quality research/grants, geriatric EM and disaster medicine.
Short Description
Education Requirements
In addition to clinical responsibilities in the ED, this position requires the individual to participate and complete the department’s Emergency Ultrasound fellowship. This involves interviewing with our EM ultrasound program leadership and be selected through the established national ‘match process’ for EM point of care ultrasound fellowship.
Experience Required
The applicant must have completed an ACGME accredited EM residency program and be Board eligible/board certified in EM.
License/ Certification Requirements
The applicant must be ABEM board eligible or ABEM board certified.
